Why Get Involved?
Public involvement is an important part of transportation planning. The decision making process is improved when the MPO has input from the community and a variety of stakeholders. The public involvement process was designed to make information easily accessible to anyone interested.
How to Get Involved
The easiest way to get involved is to attend an MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) or TTAG (Transportation Technical Advisory Group) meeting.
The Public Participation Plan is the South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization's (SWRMPO) official policy on involving the public in the transportation planning process. The document outlines strategies used to engage the public durning transportation planning activities.
The 2009 Public Participation Plan for the South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization is the official document governing public involvment for the MPO. For more information on Public Involvment Click Here, or follow the above link.
